What a Reversal: Reborn to Slack Off, Then Become the Top Seller

In his previous life, he was an orphan who struggled to survive on society’s margins from childhood. After finally landing a job at a major company, he worked overtime and through the night, with a 996 schedule as the norm. At 35, years of overwork caught up with him, and he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. As he lay dying in a cold hospital bed, he watched his boss bask in success while he couldn’t even afford his medical bills.

Reborn ten years earlier, he smiled. In this life, he decided to give up completely: no overtime, no rat race, and no sucking up to anyone. His boss tried to make him take the fall? He tossed the blame right back. A coworker asked for help? He smiled and turned them down. The company demanded a 996 schedule? He clocked out on time. Staying even one second longer would be disrespecting himself.

But who could have guessed that, as he kept lying flat, he would become the company’s top salesperson?

A contract he signed on a whim became the company’s biggest deal of the year. A client he chatted with by chance turned out to be an industry giant. Even his offhand “lie flat theory” became a viral hit across the internet. His coworkers watched in envy and resentment as he coasted his way to victory.

In this life, he turned the whole order upside down: he lay flat his way to the top of the sales rankings and became the person everyone envied.

“I’m not incapable of keeping up with the rat race. I just can’t be bothered.” In this life, he would use his laid-back ways to face-slap them all!

A group executive sent word: the top salesperson would get a 500,000-yuan bonus?

Still want to lie flat?

Ji Dong replied, “Yes.”

“That’s the spirit. I believe in you.”

And so he kept lying flat. Somehow, he became the top salesperson, and then he kept lying flat until he became a branch general manager... and a partner.
