Tale of the Hero and the Beauty

The male protagonist, Ling Feng, is framed and cast out of his clan. Left on his own, he learns to hunt and makes a living copying books and letters. He saves a gravely wounded old man who has fallen unconscious, unaware that he is a hidden master. The old man teaches him extraordinary martial arts and the art of war, gives him a precious sword, then retires from the world and bids him farewell. From then on, Ling Feng roams the martial world, upholding justice. He wipes out three bandit strongholds and five vicious gangs, then takes part in a martial arts tournament and unites the world of martial arts.

Along the way, he meets eight heroines from different backgrounds in different circumstances, and the encounters lead to eight extraordinary romantic adventures. He builds a business empire, defeats six great merchant families, and, as a brilliant prodigy, creates a commercial house so wealthy that it flourishes across four kingdoms. He enters politics, advances cautiously, earns military honors, develops new weapons, and eliminates treacherous ministers and corrupt officials. He rises to unrivaled power, enacts new policies, and unites the eight kingdoms to bring peace to the realm.
