Otolithiasis and a Strange Overlap of Time and Space

A chance bout of vertigo caused by otoliths lets Xinglan see the Guangzhou of the future through a time tunnel. A gateway through time and space shows Xinglan the future: after coming into contact with “another self” and experiencing spatial distortions and flickering points of light, the protagonist wakes up in a hospital a month later. A doctor tells them they have the same symptoms as “Xinglan,” as if they came from different times and spaces. This only makes them more certain they were chosen, and they begin to face life’s choices with courage. In another transmigration, the protagonist arrives in the highly advanced Guangzhou of 2045, where cars hover, robots fly, and phones have become holographic projectors. They also meet a young woman in silver armor, receive a flying skateboard, and begin a series of exciting adventures in the city of the future. A Chinese game company develops holographic experiential games known as OS, with nostalgic themes proving popular. Homes and human organs can be 3D-printed, cancer is no longer incurable, and Alzheimer’s is discovered to be a seal placed on the mind. Laws are passed allowing robots to marry, and there are robot nannies and companions. An intelligent visual experience project lets people see and experience Mars. Companies spring up to print houses, make interactive games, and develop optical virtual-reality glasses. People turn their attention to studying the relationship between themselves and the universe. In the future, people revere nature, value the spirit, and look toward the cosmos… We, in the present, are nostalgic and cherish our lives and loved ones all the more.
