The Journey of Love and Dreams follows Zheng Qin, Chen Cai, Xie Fang, and Luo Tian as they face twists and turns and grow while pursuing love and their dreams.
Zheng Qin marries for love and moves far from home, only to face prejudice from Chen Cai’s relatives. The local economy is underdeveloped, and jobs are hard to find. But with perseverance, she takes on work to support Chen Cai’s business venture and keeps working even while pregnant. Chen Cai’s business repeatedly hits setbacks: a partner betrays him, his cash flow dries up, and he faces a tax investigation, among other troubles. Still, his optimism and persistence lead him to keep adjusting his plans and searching for new opportunities.
Xie Fang is a woman past the usual marrying age who longs for true love, but her blind dates are full of bizarre prospects. Work pressures also leave her with little time for romance, while her marriage prospects cause conflict in her family. Still, she makes an effort to broaden her social circle by attending social events, and eventually meets the right person.
Luo Tian longs for a free and easy life and hopes to become an online celebrity, but he faces rivals trying to undermine him, poor internet connections, and a suspended livestreaming account. He works hard to overcome these challenges by learning new skills and trying new styles.
Each of the four struggles, strives, and perseveres through their own hardships. In the end, Zheng Qin gets a chance at a promotion, Chen Cai’s company gets on track, Xie Fang finds love, and Luo Tian succeeds as an online celebrity. They all achieve their goals, making a dramatic turn from hardship to hope and composing a song of perseverance in pursuit of love and dreams.
