After an earthquake, Wu Di awakens the Inheritance System and obtains the Heavenly Secrets Inheritance. He leaves Miancheng, where he has lived for sixteen years, and arrives in the unfamiliar city of Rongcheng. At first, he tells people's fortunes by livestreaming divinations. He also helps the police solve many cases.
Later, he obtains the Daoist Inheritance. It is after acquiring it that he begins encountering ghosts and gods, gradually learning about ancient events, including the Earth chapter, the Universe chapter, and the Chaos chapter.
