Sakura Summer

(Also known as Before the Heartbreak: Bad Girl)

A cool-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside boy ✘ a girl whose inner and outer selves are worlds apart

In high school, Shen Qingshi was a bad student in everyone's eyes. But to only his grandmother and Le Qiuyu, he was a fragile "orphan." He had endured the harsh blows of society and experienced both its warmth and its coldness. He thought he would keep drifting through life, but then he met Le Qiuyu, a transfer student. What sparks will fly between a boy who grew up an orphan and a girl from a single-parent family? He doesn't know, Le Qiuyu doesn't know, and neither does the world. But Shen Qingshi knows that when he meets Le Qiuyu again in college, the love he felt as a boy will be impossible to hold back. He can no longer bring himself to cruelly deceive her as he did in high school. And she, too, changed her personality because of something that boy said, though deep down she is still the girl he knows so well.

So, at the moment he boarded the plane, Shen Qingshi made a promise to Ye Le Qiuyu.

"When I return, I will marry you."

A little sweet, no heart-wrenching angst.
