(No harem + no brainless protagonist + no goody-two-shoes + System + comedy + ensemble cast)
Top college entrance exam scorer Wei Qi is happily waiting for his acceptance letter from Tsinghua or Peking University when Heaven suddenly goes off the rails and launches a “global mythology clearance sale.” Some people become Buddhas, others turn into demons, and even the old guy next door sprouts antlers and claims to be a mountain god!
To make matters worse, his family tomb doesn’t send up auspicious smoke. It glows green and spits out a wild, bearded “ancestor,” who promptly hands him a “Life-for-Vitality, Lao Liu Contract.”
While others get cheat codes, he gets funeral arrangements. Putting points into his stats feels great for a moment, then sends his lifespan straight to the crematorium.
With just two years left on his life meter, the System keeps spamming pop-ups: “Demon clan ahead. Hurry over and get yourself killed… er, go protect the people!”
Grumbling, Wei Qi shoulders his “Lao Liu Radar” and hits the road. As he flees for his life, he discovers something unexpected: the vitality he traded eighty years for makes him too fast for demons to catch and too tough for them to beat. In the end, he can even take them out with a single “Lover’s Embrace Kill”!
Now here’s the question: as this top student uses physics to exorcise the supernatural and exploits his life-system cheat passed down by his ancestors, will this fantastical take on To Live outlast the villains, or will the bronze-rank grind turn Wei Qi into Wei “The Mummy” Qi first?
The plot is very exciting and beautiful, and the characters are well created. It is wonderful, delicate and smooth. It is simply amazing.
