[General and concubine, testing each other, both chaste, happy ending]
The Pavilion of Beautiful Women was built by the prime minister as a country residence to win over the court. It housed many lovely young women, who were all sent out as other men’s concubines once they came of age, in order to secure their favor. Yue Ying was the most beautiful girl in the pavilion. At eighteen, she was sent north to become the concubine of the Marquis of Wuding, a rising court favorite with an illustrious military record. Everyone thought she was about to climb to great heights, but the Marquis despised evil, kept himself pure, and cared only for the affairs of the realm. He looked down on lowborn women like her. Stricken with a strange poison, Yue Ying had no choice but to proceed cautiously, bringing every skill she had learned at the pavilion to bear as she tried to win over the great general, the Marquis of Wuding, who had no interest in women…
After reading it, I just feel that the heroine is so miserable, so miserable, I can't see the love of the hero. How can I put it, the love for family and country is full, but it is a bit burdensome for the heroine. If possible, I hope that in the end, the heroine can freely live the life she most expects by herself.
Good looking😊Good looking author, cheers
The author is very clever and very interesting.
The female protagonist is so miserable. She is always abused by the male protagonist. It's really uncomfortable to watch.
