[Historical romance + transmigrate into a book] [Bright and lively daughter of the prime minister & reserved, aloof Imperial Preceptor]
Shen Wanwan transmigrates into a novel abandoned by its author, becoming the story's wicked supporting female character.
According to the original plot, she's a devoted simp for the villainous crown prince. She spends all day sabotaging the male lead, hoping he'll die for good so the crown prince will favor her.
But now, the System tells her that her mission is to save the male lead, who is about to have his entire family executed, without changing the original plot, and to complete the unwritten story, steering it toward a “reasonable” ending.
“What counts as a reasonable ending?” Shen Wanwan asks, trembling.
The System replies coldly, “The male lead reaches the pinnacle of power.”
And so she begins a double life, plotting against him by day and saving him by night.
But the villainous crown prince is far too powerful. How could she possibly save the male lead on her own? To make it to the ending, she decides to find a powerful ally.
So she sets her sights on the mysterious, aloof Imperial Preceptor.
Everyone says the Imperial Preceptor is pure and dispassionate, untouched by worldly desires. But Shen Wanwan discovers that something seems a little off about this man of spiritual discipline...
The book is beautiful, the plot is novel, the plot is compact, and the early story is clearly explained. The only shortcoming is that I personally think it would be better for the heroine to remember everything in the ending. It always feels like the hero and the heroine after amnesia are together. The heroine does not remember the hero and falls in love with the hero again. It always feels like she is a different person. Xingyuan also did not explain the follow-up. Maybe this is the shortcoming of the short story. The book is beautiful, and the above is just my personal opinion (with a glassy heart, please don't spray)
