National Defense Law of the People's Republic of China

The "National Defense Law of the People's Republic of China" includes general provisions, national defense powers of state agencies, armed forces, border defense, coastal defense, air defense and other major security areas, defense scientific research, production and military procurement, defense funds and defense assets, national defense education, national defense mobilization and war status, national defense obligations and rights of citizens and organizations, obligations and rights of military personnel, foreign military relations, supplementary provisions, etc. This law aims to build and consolidate national defense, ensure the smooth progress of reform, opening up and socialist construction, and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The state exercises unified leadership over national defense activities. When the sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, security and development interests of the People's Republic of China are threatened, the state shall conduct nationwide general mobilization or partial mobilization in accordance with the Constitution and legal provisions.
