Siheyuan: The Road from Chef to Culinary God

He Yuzhu was an ordinary cook in the canteen of the Red Star Steelworks, living a quiet life in a courtyard house. Though his cooking was excellent, he was only a little famous. Then an accident earned him the Chef God System, setting him on the path to turning his life around.

At first, He Yuzhu used the System's top-tier cooking talent and divine recipes to make increasingly delicious meals in the factory canteen, and his reputation gradually spread beyond the factory. When the Grand Hotel of Beijing made him an excellent offer, he thought it over carefully and chose to stay at the familiar steelworks. This brought him jealousy and rumors, but he cleared his name when he was falsely accused of embezzlement. His innovative dishes also won praise from food critics, earning him a reputation as “the hidden chef god of the factory canteen” and putting him on the map of Beijing's culinary scene.

In matters of the heart, He Yuzhu is caught between years of tangled feelings for Qin Huairu and a sweet romance with Lin Xiaoyan. His struggles in love affect his career, too. But in the end, he understands his own heart, chooses Lin Xiaoyan, and resolves to work hard for their future together.

To win Lin Xiaoyan's parents' approval, He Yuzhu quits his job and opens Yuzhu Restaurant. The early days of the business are full of difficulties, but through constant learning and improvement, he makes the restaurant a success. He also wins a cooking contest, boosting his reputation even further.

As the restaurant grows, new-style cuisine challenges it. He leads his students in exploring new ideas, blending traditional cooking techniques with modern concepts to create a series of innovative dishes. Yuzhu Restaurant becomes a rising force in Beijing's culinary world.
