Ni Haixia Talks About Traditional Chinese Medicine: from Acupuncture to the Emperor's Internal Medicine

Professor Ni Haixia of Soochow University gave an in-depth lecture on the classics of traditional Chinese medicine. There are four classic works of traditional Chinese medicine, "Huangdi Neijing", "Difficult Classic", "Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases" and "Shen Nong's Materia Medica". Among them, "The Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic" was the earliest and contained the most content, and has become a classic in the treasure house of Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the theoretical basis of yin and yang and the five elements. It regards the human body as a unity of qi, form and spirit. Through the four diagnostic methods of "look, smell, ask, feel" and combine ginseng, it explores the cause, nature and location of the disease, analyzes the pathogenesis and changes in the internal organs, meridians, joints, qi, blood and body fluids, and determines the elimination of evil. Then, we can get the name of the disease, summarize the syndrome type, and use the principles of syndrome differentiation and treatment to formulate treatment methods such as "sweating, vomiting, purging, harmonizing, warming, clearing, tonifying, and eliminating". We use traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage, massage, cupping, qigong, dietary therapy and other treatment methods to help the human body achieve the harmony of yin and yang and recover.
