Archives of Liu Ke's Biography Before and After Futai

This book is not divided into volumes. It is compiled and published based on some archives of Hengchun and Changhua counties during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty collected by the Taiwan Provincial Museum. This archive is generally known as the "Liu Ming Chuan Fu Tai Archives"; but in fact, all the archives date from the second year of Guangxu's reign to shortly before the occupation of Taiwan in the 21st year, totaling a total of nineteen years; although most of them contain documents from the Liu family's Fu Tai period (from the eleventh to the seventeenth year of Guangxu's reign), the number of documents outside this period also accounts for about a quarter. Therefore, the name was changed. The original archives were classified and cataloged, but now they are arranged according to the date of publication by each government office. There are a total of one hundred and sixty documents, which are generally handled or notified by the Taiwan (South) government (or province). Its content mainly includes cases of fortification, pacification, province establishment, personnel, etc., Followed by Qing Dynasty tax, financial management, post and telecommunications, mining, foreign affairs, etc., Followed by camphor, opium and weathering. At the end of the book, Liu's fragments about Taiwan from the "Imperial Daoxian Tongguang Memorial" (compared with the 27th "Liu Zhuangsu Gong Memorial") and eight previously unseen fragments of Shen Baozhen are included as "Appendices".
