"Mingxin Baojian" was probably written at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. The compiler or organizer was Fan Liben. The whole book consists of 20 articles and six to seven hundred paragraphs. The content is a mixture of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, and gathers the essence of the expositions of Chinese sages and sages before the Ming Dynasty on personal moral cultivation, self-cultivation, and settling down. This is also the first ancient book in Chinese history that was translated and introduced to the West. It was translated into Spanish in 1592. The manuscript was brought back to Spain in 1595 and presented to Prince Philip III. It is now collected in the National Library of Spain in Madrid. Later, "Mingxin Baojian" spread to China's neighboring countries, and has been popular in South Korea, Japan, Vietnam and other countries for more than 600 years.
