Progress: Zero, Favorability: Maxed Out?

The main story is complete [Two male leads + infinite flow + livestream System + horror game + power fantasy + two powerful leads]

[Suave villainous NPC top × Ice-cold beauty powerhouse bottom]

[Original title: Conquest Progress Is Zero, Yet Affection Is Maxed Out?]

Putting an affection-value mechanic into a horror-game instance is clearly meant to get players to be friendly with the NPCs inside and live happily ever after.

But Shen Yilin thinks that's completely unnecessary. Are the weapons in the instance shop just for decoration?

Players/Monsters: So you used weapons to farm monster kills and blow the instance's kill count through the roof?

Before Shen Yilin starts slaughtering the monsters, every instance monster thinks this delicate-looking, ice-cold beauty poses no threat.

After Shen Yilin starts slaughtering the monsters, every instance monster gives him a wide berth, afraid of meeting his end.

New player: "But if I don't farm affection and just keep fighting, won't I really die horribly in the instance?"

Veteran player: "You don't know him? He's Shen Yilin, the guy who never romances NPCs, farms spirit points through sheer combat strength, and still ends up in debt!"

He thought the old instances were almost all cleared and the game would soon be over, but unexpectedly, a huge batch of new instances appeared out of nowhere.

Who could have guessed that as soon as Shen Yilin entered one, he'd run into an NPC who couldn't be cut down no matter how hard he tried?

Taking a closer look...

Conquest progress: zero. Yep, normal...

Wait... Why is the text above his head pink?

Isn't pink text only displayed when affection is maxed out?

(The top is an NPC with multiple forms. His true form only appears in the second instance.)

(The bottom is a slow burn.)
