High Martial: I'm the Raise-Seeking Layabout, Working Nine to Five

After transmigrating to a high-martial world, Su Yuan binds himself to the Nine-to-Five System.

He drops out of school and becomes a security guard at the city gate.

He works regular hours every day, with weekends off.

You want me to work after hours? Pay me extra!

You want me on an off-site assignment? That’s dereliction of duty... Pay me extra!

Every time Su Yuan completes a check-in achievement, he gets to draw a random, absurd ability...

[Consecutive check-ins complete: acquired the “Kun Fist” combo skill]

[Consecutive check-ins complete: acquired the “Famous Blade: Siming”]

[Consecutive check-ins complete: acquired “I Let My Guard Down, I Didn’t Dodge”]

From then on, whenever the protagonist is on the clock, the monsters in the area behave themselves like husbands hiding in closets in certain stories.

Former classmate: “So you didn’t drop out because you were bad at school? You were the real top student.”

Captain: “Bro, why don’t you take over as captain? I can’t even bring myself to sit down while you’re standing.”

Elite monster: “From now on, if you guys see that guy, just run. If his shift hadn’t ended last time, he would’ve beaten me to death.”
