24-Year-old Hu Tong is the stepmother of a 9-year-old boy, Maomao. One day, she discovers that Maomao has an invisible friend, Xixi, who only appears at night. Psychiatrist Kevin believes that Maomao suffered psychological trauma due to the death of his father, and Xixi is Maomao's imaginary friend. In order to alleviate Maomao's mental illness, Hu Tong took Maomao back to the countryside. Here, a series of unexplainable events happened, which made Hu Tong feel that Xixi was real. Until one day, she met Xixi, and everything developed into an uncontrollable situation. This Xixi appeared with malicious intent, and she endangered the lives of Hu Tong and Maomao.
