Aliens: “Accept enslavement, or we’ll destroy Earth!”
Li Ming: “First, what are the working conditions? How many hours a day?”
Alien, arrogantly: “Seven hours! An hour and a half for lunch! Three months of annual leave! This is a cosmic-level torture!”
Li Ming, eyes wide with shock: “...I’ll take that blessing!”
A century later
With the rudimentary technology the aliens had “bestowed” upon him,
Li Ming crushed cutthroat competition, eradicated poverty, and tossed incurable diseases into the dustbin of history!
All of humanity hailed him as the “Eternal Beacon,” shouting, “Dad Li has given us so much!”
A millennium later
Earth’s civilization had digested alien basic technology,
then developed warp drives and Dyson spheres!
Interstellar treaties had become A Guide to Cultivating Efficient Productivity.
The Cosmic Emperor watched from afar: “Is this overseer of slaves... a little too capable?”
Ten thousand years later
An alien fleet crossed the starry sea and laid siege to Earth,
only to find the cannons of the [Solar System Defense Ring] glinting,
and a line of tiny text on the [Human Guard Fleet] insignia: “Thanks to the Emperor for providing the technology behind our blessings.”
Li Ming watched the Cosmic Emperor on the verge of defeat and smiled as he handed over a new contract:
“An improved version based on your standards from back then: The Alien-Friendly Enslavement Treaty.”
“Daily work hours cut to six! Lunch break extended to two hours! At least six months of annual leave!”
As the Emperor watched the countdown to his fleet’s annihilation, his silicon-based core overloaded in a frenzy:
“Did you enslave me back then... just so you could work the entire universe to death?!”
On the day the Cosmic Emperor’s fleet arrived, the terms of the contract lit up on the universe-wide broadcast:
“Article 1 of the Earth-Friendly Enslavement Treaty: Six-hour workdays, with a two-hour lunch break...”
Staring blankly at the human fleet’s cannons, the alien commander asked, “If we surrender now... can we get paid leave?”
Although it's just a fantasy before the sudden death of a cow or horse, it's really beautiful.
It looks good, but the pacing at the end is too fast. It would be great if there was something like this. So well written. Although the ending is like this, it seems to be okay relatively speaking. The main thing is that the whole article just follows the central topic, and it looks good and feels good.
It's a very nice and exquisite novel, keep it up!
