On an ordinary night, I fell into a deep sleep as usual. But a flash of brilliant light and a mysterious force of suction jolted me awake. The next moment, I realized I had transmigrated through time and space to a strange, mysterious place: the moon.
I stared wide-eyed at the cratered ground around me and at a palace in the distance, glowing with a mysterious light. Confusion and fear filled my heart. Just then, a woman appeared before me. She wore gorgeous ancient robes and had breathtaking features, but a sorrowful expression.
She approached with graceful steps, a hint of worry and delight in her eyes, and said softly, “Young friend, your arrival here must be Heaven’s will.” I looked at her, my panic beginning to subside, and asked, “Miss, where exactly is this place? Why have I come here? And who are you?” Chang’e sighed gently and replied, “I am Chang’e. This is the moon, where I have lived for more than three or four thousand years. Recently, I have been observing the stars at night, and I sense a great calamity is about to befall us: aliens are plotting to invade the moon.”
