A group of rural kids born in the 1980s, at the very bottom of socialist society, stumble their way together because of college. Each of them has the proud, untamed spirit of a wolf, as well as a kind of doglike nature forged by a cold and indifferent society and families only just scraping by... After facing the trials of society, will they spend their lives as timid, cynical dogs, or will they race ahead like wolves and roam the world for a lifetime...?
