In the prosperous Tang Dynasty, whose fortune is divided between Buddhism and Daoism, the realm appears splendid on the surface, yet hides the troubling truth that humanity cannot control its own fate. Li Hao, a Confucian scholar who transmigrates from the modern world, carries the mysterious ancient text The Emperor of Humanity’s Strategy. He vows to revive the Tang Dynasty through Confucianism and Daoism, and restore humanity’s former glory. In an age of collapsing rites and music, he will wield wisdom as a blade against Buddhism and the Heavenly Court, reshape hearts through virtue and righteousness, and use the power of fortune to restore the throne of the Emperor of Humanity.
Amid the vast heavens and earth, can the teachings of the ancient sages guide humanity out of its shackles? Along this long journey, with war raging across the four continents, can he unite people’s hearts and create a great world where rites and music flourish once more? When fate collides with faith, and Heaven’s will clashes with the people’s hearts, the answers all lie in the choices he makes.
