Zhou Wuyu was the most beloved Grand Princess of Sheng Zhou, yet on the day of the spring banquet, she was found drowned in the lotus pond.
Everyone in the palace knew that Zhou Wuyu could swim.
Song Shi'an, the legitimate daughter of an unloved official of the fifth rank, was pushed into the lotus pond and lost her life.
The first thing the Grand Princess did after being reborn was to seek justice for her and break off the engagement.
She had thought that after being reborn, she would have nothing more to do with the people from her previous life, but the truth behind it all left her sighing with emotion.
Fortunately, there had always been someone thinking of her.

Wen Xuzhi had been childhood friends with Zhou Wuyu. He had thought that on the day she came of age, he could obtain an imperial decree to betroth them,
but instead, he heard news of her death.
When bandits tried to trap him, he fought his way through;
when the Imperial City Bureau blocked his path, he cleaved through with a single strike of his sword;
when no one dared to carry her coffin, he stepped forward.
Only, no one had told him that the woman he had yearned for all along was still alive.
