A hundred years after the original ending of Zhu Xian, the balance of power among the various sects has shifted. The righteous Qingyun Sect has lost many of its talented disciples, but remains the leader. Tianyin Temple's influence has waned somewhat, while Incense Valley's strength continues to rise. The Demon Sect is plagued by internal strife: the Ghost King Sect has split apart, while the Hehuan Sect manages to get along with both sides.
- Cultivation ranks: First Steps, Minor Achievement, Comprehension, Mastery, Pinnacle, Transcendence, Return to Simplicity, Earthly Immortal, and Primordial Great Luo Golden Immortal. Each major realm is divided into four minor stages: early, middle, late, and peak.
- Treasure ranks: Common, Spirit, Immortal, Saint, Venerable, and Imperial. The higher the quality, the greater the power, and each treasure possesses unique divine abilities and spiritual awareness.
- Cultivation manual ranks: Yellow, Black, Earth, Heaven, Immortal, and Divine. Higher-ranked manuals are harder to cultivate, but their power and effects far surpass those of lower-ranked ones.
