The General's Command

Iron cavalry reflects across the land, beacon smoke spreads for miles.

A long spear pierces the clouds, blood-red banners hang above the city gates.

I remember the enemy at the city walls, and you leading the charge, glorious and fearless.

I remember the neon and rosy clouds, your gentle profile, warm as jade.

I remember the flames soaring skyward, you breaking down in tears, panic-stricken.

I also remember you taking off your armor, revealing a back covered in scars.

You said you wanted to grow old with me.
