There was once a game called Perfect World that took the world by storm, only to bring humanity to the brink of annihilation. The game's NPCs took over the world and drove humankind to the edge of extinction.
Sixteen-year-old Lin Luoluo becomes one of the members of the fifth group to set out to destroy the NPCs. As she levels up from novice to expert, she meets Mu Er, a cheat-powered boy who is half player and half NPC. From then on, the two embark on a long journey filled with both romance and monster-slaying.
