Content warning: Slow burn. The author is practicing their writing, so proceed with caution if that’s not your thing.

Female lead: Timid and cowardly on the surface, innocent and naive, but secretly ruthless, ambitious, and wicked to the core.

Male lead: A gentle, refined gentleman, genuinely kind and softhearted, with no hidden dark side.

The woman tilted her head, her innocent almond eyes curving into a smile. “How could I love someone who killed me in my previous life?” Her heart had always belonged to that one bright moon.

Confusion clouded the man’s brow. How could he ever bear to hurt the woman he loved? He still wanted to ask her something.

Thwack, the dagger was pulled free. “And you don’t get to call me Zhaozhao.”

This blurb is intended to highlight the female lead’s personality, so it differs somewhat from the story itself.
