In 2003, a fall from a building at Shou University left one person dead and another injured. The incident had a far-reaching impact. Based on the evidence, it was eventually ruled an accident. Li Qinfeng, the victim's childhood friend, couldn't accept the verdict. He later became a police officer and spent the next ten years investigating the case, but never made any headway.
