The Legend of Li Long

During the Zhengde era of the Ming dynasty, undercurrents stirred throughout the martial world. The power of the various sects waxed and waned, and conflicts raged without end. Rumor had it that the secret art of the Lu Ban School had resurfaced. It contained the essentials of Qimen Dunjia, ingenious mechanisms, and peerless martial arts. Whoever obtained it could dominate the martial world and command all its factions. Before long, a storm of bloodshed quietly spread through the shadows. Countless heroes would stop at nothing to claim the secret art, and amid flashing blades, human lives were as worthless as ants.

At the time, Wuchenzi, leader of the Lu Ban School, was highly respected and a master of the martial arts, with a chivalrous heart. One night, the moon was hidden and dark clouds pressed overhead. Cries and the sounds of fighting suddenly rang out from the school’s inner courtyard. At last, Wugouzi could no longer restrain his ambition. He conspired with outside forces and struck his senior brother by surprise. Wuchenzi fought back with all his might, but could not withstand the traitor’s cunning. He died in his own home, and half of the precious secret art vanished with him. With his dying breath, Wuchenzi fought to protect his beloved disciple, Li Long, and used his final strength to get him out of danger. He entrusted him with what was to come, urging him to reclaim the secret art, purge the school of traitors, and prevent their master’s name from being disgraced.

From then on, Li Long concealed his identity, posing as a fisherman in Baita Village while waiting for his chance to act. Meanwhile, rumors throughout the martial world grew ever wilder, like a raging fire drawing the attention of every faction to the tiny land of Naxi. The missing half of the secret art was like a spark, ready to ignite an even greater calamity at any moment. The story begins here, as the winds of change gather over Naxi...
