The protagonist, Lin Yifan, is a slightly sharp-tongued tech geek who has just graduated from veterinary college and dreams of becoming a top veterinarian. But reality forces him to return and help out at his family's pet shop, Cute Pet Paradise. Though the shop is small, it's home to a motley crew of pets and a bunch of eccentric customers.
At the pet shop, Lin Yifan has to handle all kinds of tricky pet ailments, as well as deal with the haughty cat-loving manager, Tang Xue, and a crowd of goofy regulars. He grumbles about the shop's daily routine while gradually showing off his professional veterinary skills. Meanwhile, he discovers that he can communicate with pets. This golden finger helps him better understand what they need, but also leads to plenty of mishaps.
