My Achievements Outshine the Emperor's, So Thirteen Golden Edicts Force Me to Surrender My Military Power

Huo Wuwei transmigrates to an ancient dynasty and, single-handedly, “turns the tide when all seems lost and props up a collapsing empire.”

Just as he leads his army on a northern campaign, winning battle after battle and nearing the recovery of the old capital and the final strike against the enemy, the emperor grows suspicious of his “overwhelming achievements.” He sends Huo Wuwei thirteen gold-token orders, one after another, demanding that he return to the capital and surrender his military command.

The first gold-token order: “Do not move the troops rashly. Make arrangements to return to the capital.”

The second gold-token order: “The three armies have suffered greatly. Bring them south to receive their rewards.”

The third gold-token order: “The northern campaign must stop immediately. Do not delay.”

The twelfth gold-token order: “If you do not return to the capital, you will be executed without mercy.”

The thirteenth gold-token order: “Disobey this command and you will be deemed a traitor. Your entire clan will be put to death!”

Caught between a rock and a hard place, with his entire clan facing ruin, Huo Wuwei awakens the [Imperial Ambition] System. Overnight, he gains command of eighteen armies totaling 300,000 troops, along with an unlimited supply of provisions and military equipment.

When he looks at the emperor's thirteen gold-token orders to return to the capital once more, he simply smiles and says, “If it were 30,000 troops, I would hand them over without a fuss.”

“But they're 300,000 troops, and they come with unlimited provisions and military equipment.”

“You remnant of the previous dynasty, what am I supposed to do with you?”

“If I can't be a minister remembered in the history books for restoring the dynasty, then I'll be the founding emperor who unifies the realm!”

“What? You say I'm a traitor, usurping power and stealing the country, with no legitimate claim to the throne?”

“Sorry, once I unify the realm, the great scholars will make the case for me!”
