Xiao Yu is an ordinary male college student who unexpectedly transmigrates to an unfamiliar world. Here, he suffers from a terminal illness, lives in a cold and loveless family, and seems to be cursed by fate. Yet fortune opens a window for him, granting him the “God of Singing” System.
Though illness plagues him, Xiao Yu uses his voice to share warmth and strength. One song, “All the Beauty in the World Is Intertwined with You,” with its words, “By now, the orioles fly and the grass grows lush. The one I love is on the way. I know they brave wind and rain, passing through dusk without stopping to admire it. They cross a sea of people, just to hold you close...” sets the whole internet ablaze, rekindling hope in those who have given up.
The line from “Grandma's Bridge,” “Rock and sway, by the fifteenth day, after the spring equinox, you'll reach Grandma's Bridge,” stirs countless memories. People pray to Lady Meng to put a little sugar in Grandma's bowl.
There are also one moving song after another, including “The Ocean Floor,” “Mercury Records,” “What Can I Use to Keep You,” “Toward the Clouds,” “Anhe Bridge,” “The Wind Rises,” “Father,” “A View on the Wall,” “Divination,” and “Seeking an Old Friend.” They heal everyone's hearts. Through music, he proves that even in the darkness, you can still light up the world.
