A character-driven story, no System, mildly sweet with a little angst. Shen He is reborn as Wu Minxuan, the daughter of her neighbors, and begins a life in someone else's place. She experiences life's joys and sorrows, and a separation and divorce, with the occasional flight of fancy. It starts off slowly and then goes all over the place.
When Shen He was three, her adoptive parents took her in. Later, they had a son. When he was seven, he came down with a high fever that lasted seven days and nights and left him brain-damaged.
Her adoptive mother said this more than anything else: “You have to take good care of your little brother. He'll be relying on you from now on.” She always said it with a vicious glare.
Later, Shen He died and was reborn as the neighbors' daughter, thinking she had escaped her fate. But her adoptive mother shamelessly came to propose a marriage match!
