Tan Youyi was born into the Tan family of Jinyang. As the legitimate daughter of the family, she grew up cherished and adored. After coming of age, she was promised a marriage that the entire capital envied: she would marry Pei Shen, the second legitimate son of the Duke of Ying's mansion. Tan Youyi had fallen in love with him at first sight when she was still a young lady, and even willingly followed him to take up a post at the border two years after their wedding.
Later, Tan Youyi learned by chance that Pei Shen had originally intended to marry her cousin. Only after her cousin married someone else did he settle for Tan Youyi.
It was only when Pei Shen planned to take a concubine who looked somewhat like her cousin that Tan Youyi finally came to her senses. No matter how much she had given over the years, it could never outweigh the love he had lost in his youth. She resolutely set off for the capital, but on the way she encountered bandits and was pierced through the heart by an arrow.
Reborn, she refused to repeat the same mistakes and become a resentful couple with Pei Shen.
The second book I read by the author happened to be my favorite rebirth novel. When I was following up on the update, I read the first one again and still had a lot to learn.
I read a few chapters at the beginning and thought it was good, but after reading it later, it stopped updating. It's a pity that the author will update it in the future.
