Wanru, Quiet in the Forest Like Dusk

Jingwan, a concubine-born daughter of the Luo household, is in the bloom of youth. She diligently learns how to survive within the inner quarters of a scholar-official family, hoping only to spend her life with the one she loves. After her love ends in failure, she comes to understand the true meaning of a woman's survival. In the end, she marries Lin Mu and journeys to the borderlands, where they gather mulberries, weave cloth, pick fruit, and grow crops.
