This is a heartfelt story of Xu Zimo, a young male-role performer, and Chen Mengyao, a dan-role actress, whose shared love of opera brings them together across the barriers of age and convention.

Chen Mengyao, a gifted dan performer just twenty years old, has felt an inextricable bond with opera since childhood. At sixteen, she was accepted into the renowned Fanghua Troupe. After two years of hard work, she graduated with excellent marks at eighteen and passed the recruitment exam to join the Fanghua Grand Theater, where she became a shining new star. Her performances are delicate and nuanced, her emotions sincere, and every time she takes the stage, she wins thunderous applause.

Xu Zimo is a twelve-year-old with a deep love and admiration for opera.
