Siheyuan: He Yuzhu’s Different Life

He Yuzhu actually transmigrates, going straight back to 1950 and the courtyard, where he becomes his younger self, not yet toyed with by fate, but still facing the prospect of being abandoned by his father, He Daqing.

Only 15 years old and still an apprentice at Hongbin Restaurant, he refuses to repeat the path of his previous life.

So He Yuzhu makes a shocking decision: he sits the first college entrance exam in 1952 and gets into university, embarking on a life completely different from his previous one.

This change ruins all the courtyard residents’ carefully laid plans.

Yi Zhonghai is furious and helpless behind closed doors, his plan to control the whole courtyard reduced to nothing. Deaf Granny can only sigh as she watches events slip beyond her control. And Qin Huairu is consumed with regret, wishing she hadn’t married so early and missed out on He Yuzhu, a man with boundless potential.

Through his own hard work and determination, He Yuzhu completely escapes the fate of being a “human blood bank” in his previous life. In this extraordinary era, he writes a remarkable story of his own, leaving the courtyard residents to watch from afar as he strides toward a brilliant future.
