A Long Farewell to You

The day after my fiancé left me at the altar in front of everyone, I boarded a plane to Shanghai. He comforted his girlfriend, saying, “Jiang Qingning has been spoiled since she was little. She’ll come back on her own after a couple of days. Don’t blame yourself.” Our friends were all afraid I would keep pestering Shen Mochuan and cause another huge scene. But they didn’t know I had already accepted someone else’s proposal. I was flying to Shanghai to get married. With the wedding date drawing near, I sent Shen Mochuan every last thing he had given me over the years. Including the engagement necklace I had treasured above all else. From now on, the waters of Jinshui will flow between us, and I bid you farewell forever.
