[No System, no invincibility, not a power fantasy, plot-focused]
(The protagonist grows and changes as the things he experiences shape him.)
In the future, as natural disasters and cosmic catastrophes become more frequent, a mysterious organization called Lingyuan seeks to purge the existing human population and create a new humanity.
They believe that our flesh-and-blood bodies are too fragile to carry on civilization in the face of natural disasters, human calamities, and cosmic threats. So they launch Project Genesis: Purge. Using carefully orchestrated disasters as a screening process, they aim to eliminate “inferior genes” and combine this with secret genetic technology to forcibly accelerate the creation of superhumans perfectly adapted to harsh environments, capable of fighting higher-dimensional beings.
Their ideal is grand and cold: to complete humanity’s transformation before the species goes extinct. But for the hundreds of millions of ordinary people destined to be “purged,” this is nothing less than an ethnic cleansing carried out by self-appointed arbiters. Amid the ruins of catastrophe, a tragic struggle unfolds over who has the right to define “humanity,” and what price “evolution” demands.
