After I Left the Top Law Firm, My Wife Was Put on Trial

The law firm takes on a major case. My wife deliberately makes me late for court so her old flame can steal the spotlight.

When I finally arrive, my boss stops me at the courtroom door and scolds me for lacking professionalism.

Once I see through my wife’s intentions, I hand the entire case over to her old flame.

“Since you’re so capable, you can handle every court appearance from here on out.”

My colleagues all urge me not to act on impulse. This is a once-in-a-lifetime case, and winning it would make me an unquestioned top lawyer.

But what they don’t know is that I never wanted to take this case in the first place.

Because it’s not as simple as it looks. The evidence is all fake.

Although her old flame wins an acquittal using the evidence at hand, he doesn’t know that the client is actually a serial killer with countless crimes to his name. The moment the truth comes out, he will surely be held legally responsible.

And my wife will deeply regret blindly protecting him.
