Dance of the Rain

This book focuses on urban romance in an anime-inspired style, political maneuvering, and crime, with science fiction and even Lovecraftian fantasy as supporting elements. As the characters develop, the story moves into an increasingly diverse and layered set of settings, so there will be quite a few characters, each with a long story of their own.

The city's lights dot the sky like stars. In the gray-blue afternoon, only raindrops fall. A boy sits in a classroom; a boy stays in a little shop; a boy waits by a bus stop. The boys always say: “Once we find an umbrella and all huddle beneath it, then we'll say it: I love this rain.”
