Looking for Good Wasteland Novels, Recent Ones Have All Been Boring

The wasteland novels people recommend are all boring. The golden fingers are way too powerful, or else the stories are about being reborn or transmigrating. Not for me. I want something about people scavenging out in the wasteland, not stories where they can't even make the main plot clear.
