I’m Just One Step Away from Saying I Love You

[Two male leads + sweet romance with a little angst + devoted to each other + happy ending]

Song Chengcan is the sort of person who gets drunk after just one glass. Yet, by a twist of fate, he meets Xu Qingzhou, who has accidentally drunk wine laced with something. Their encounter is brief, but that one night plants seeds of longing in both their hearts, and neither can forget the other.

By a stroke of luck, the two finally get together. Because of his own circumstances, Song Chengcan keeps their relationship secret from everyone as he and Xu Qingzhou begin a sweet romance. But the Song family soon finds out, and their fierce opposition threatens to overwhelm them. In the end, Song Chengcan is confined to his home. More than a month passes like an eternity, and all he can think about is Xu Qingzhou.

Just when their future seems hopeless, the secondary couple faces obstacles in their own relationship, prompting the Song family to reflect at last on whether their hard-line stance was really right. In the end, they stop standing in the couple’s way, giving Song Chengcan and Xu Qingzhou the chance to stay together and find their own happy ending.
