In Showbiz, I’m a Man!

[The heroine is cheerful and resilient; the hero is aloof yet gentle.]

The Lin family rule: the estate passes to sons, never daughters.

Everyone except her mother thinks Lin Kuangye is the family’s pride and joy, but she swears she’s a bona fide girl!

To inherit the family business, she’s forced to compete on a talent show.

Then she finds Wen Xun, the newly crowned Best Actor, among the show’s mentors. He has the same name as the gentle, chubby boy she remembers, but now he puts the contestants, including her, through the wringer!

Cold and aloof! Unfeeling! There’s no way he could be the same person!

Later, he looks at her with hurt in his eyes. “We’ve finally met again. Aren’t you happy?”

He seems to have become the gentle boy he was when they were young.

Later still, he catches her out in her disguise as a man.

In the cool dressing room, he wraps an arm around her waist as she backs away, gazing into her trembling eyes.

“Be my lover.”

“Otherwise, I’ll tell everyone.”

The elegant, celebrated Best Actor is threatening her into becoming his lover just because she looks like his first love!

Damn you, Wen Xun! You’ll get what’s coming to you someday!

As it turns out, he’s been secretly in love with her for twelve years.

She is the sun in his dark life.

Since the leads are actors, they inevitably have to film kissing scenes. If that bothers you, please don’t read. Otherwise, both leads are devoted to each other alone.

Cross-dressing heroine. Two strong leads. They save each other.
