He Demoted His Wife to Concubine, But the Empress's Throne Is Mine!

[Pure palace intrigue, no transmigration or rebirth] The late emperor died suddenly in his youth, and her elder brother, Prince An, ascended the throne. Ye Mingyu, the Princess Consort of An who had borne the emperor's eldest legitimate son, received only the title of Noble Consort. In an instant, loyalties within the palace shifted. Concubine Dong immediately made her move, only to suffer humiliation in return.

“Though I have not been made Empress, I am at least a Noble Consort. You, on the other hand, hold no imperial title and are still just a side consort of Prince An's household. Within these walls, I am still your mistress.”

Prince An once told her that Chancellor Yang and General Li had helped them for a reason, not out of selflessness.

When the imperial edict came down, loyalties shifted again. After all the twists and turns, the position of Empress remained vacant.

Ye Mingyu won hearts with kindness and secured control of the Six Palaces.

Now that she is a Noble Consort, no one else can become Empress.

“From now on, I have just one goal: to ascend to the throne of Empress and command respect. Reward merit and punish wrongdoing.”

Her humiliation is only temporary. Those who offend her will all pay for it. Even the daughters of the two ministers, Yang and Li, whose families helped the emperor claim the throne, will not be allowed to surpass her. As long as they do not fight among themselves, I can afford to be magnanimous.
