Journey to the West: The Story of a Little Demon

In the treacherous world of Journey to the West, there is a vast yet overlooked group collectively known as the little demons. They have neither the resources of the immortals nor the magical powers of the great demons, and no way to climb the social ladder. They are of low innate talent, the "little ones" in the demon kings' mouths and the merit earned when Guanyin has them killed. Yet they, too, are living beings with flesh and blood beneath heaven and earth, with their own joys and sorrows, their own joys and heartaches. Like you and me, trapped in the daily grind, they only want to live as they choose in the face of a cruel and helpless reality.
