[Not especially satisfying + not sweet + vicious villain + no proactive revenge + plot-focused + amnesia in the early chapters + bears the fate of two people in the later chapters]
The heroine, Guo Xixi, is an orphan. After growing up, she becomes a gifted doctor with expertise across every medical field. She has little understanding of social niceties and is ostracized by the hospital, so she quits and starts her own private hospital. She also develops a cancer vaccine, but the research is leaked before she can release it. Several people sent by powerful business interests threaten and intimidate her, yet she refuses to hand over her work.
The last time, she is brutally murdered. Her body is autopsied, thrown into an industrial shredder, ground into mince, and dumped in the middle of the sea to feed the little fish.
Her soul watches it all, utterly despairing, then drifts away until she seems to lose consciousness.
When she wakes again, Guo Xixi is in a den of beasts. A leopard is staring at her from right beside her, its eyes glowing green, as though she is its prey.
She has already died once. What is there to fear? So what if her body is torn apart again? She stares right back at the leopard...
“Meow~~~” “Meow~~~~”
As the leopard meows, translations of its words begin appearing in her mind.
“I saved you, so now you’re my child.”
Guo Xixi’s eyes fly open, and her mouth involuntarily forms an O.
