The Stolen Plot

I've loved stealing things since I was little, yet everyone in my family sees me as a lucky charm. When I was seven, I stole my eldest sister's sweet cake and fed it to the cat. The cat spat up blood and died, while my sister escaped being poisoned. From then on, she treated me like a dear friend. When I was thirteen, I stole my father's official seal and forged an emancipation document. A convict slave won his freedom and, years later, inherited the throne. My father was promoted to Minister of Personnel and cherished me like a precious jewel. “Having a daughter like you makes me so proud.” As the praise poured in, I smiled at the people I called family. They still didn't know that the thing I'd always truly wanted to steal was their lives.
