Wealth and Poverty: A Guide to the Internet Industry

The Way to Entrepreneurship: A Wealth and Poverty Mindset tells the story of two entrepreneurs, Lin Yu and Su Ran, pursuing their dreams amid the internet boom. Lin Yu comes from an ordinary background, and his family circumstances have made him cautious and conservative. He starts his entrepreneurial journey with an online handicrafts shop. Despite his hard work, his progress is slow due to a lack of resources and experience. He later ventures into a social e-commerce platform for niche interest communities, only to face a host of challenges involving funding, promotion, and user growth. Su Ran, by contrast, comes from a wealthy family and received an elite education from a young age. With abundant resources and a broad outlook, Su Ran quickly assembles a top-notch team upon entering the online education field and gains an early market advantage through heavy investment. Yet later, Su Ran also faces serious challenges, including team management and intensifying market competition.

Told in the third person, this book follows the two entrepreneurs throughout their journeys. It explores how their different mindsets about wealth and poverty took root in their upbringing and went on to shape their business decisions and actions. It details how they prepare differently when opportunities arise, the difficult choices and strategies they employ when faced with adversity, and the adjustments they make as their partnership grows. From overcoming technological bottlenecks and innovating business models to weathering economic crises and fulfilling their social responsibilities, they eventually establish a foothold in global markets, plan their strategies, and reshape their industry. Readers can follow their struggles along the entrepreneurial road and see how, through the clashing and transformation of their different mindsets, they gradually grasp the true meaning of entrepreneurship and write their own business legends. The book also reveals the mysteries and wisdom of internet entrepreneurship, offering readers valuable lessons and inspiration.
