Aiming for the Clouds, Rising Step by Step

Gao left a remote town with a dream. When he first enrolled at an ordinary agricultural university, the campus's age and modesty did nothing to diminish his ambition. Its humble classroom buildings and sparse trees bore witness to his quiet perseverance and hard work.

Born into an ordinary family, he showed unusual determination during his university years. While his classmates were either caught up in lively clubs or lost in the virtual worlds of online games, Gao devoted himself to learning about agriculture. Dressed in plain clothes and carrying an old backpack, he constantly moved between classrooms, the library, and the laboratories. He threw himself into practical lessons in the fields, undeterred by the scorching sun or the mud, carefully recording crop growth data. His hands grew rough from the work, but he didn't mind.

After graduating, Gao passed the examination for a township-level civil service position and began his career in local government. In a remote, impoverished mountain village, he never complained about the rudimentary office or the complex demands of grassroots administration. While serving as acting village head, he visited residents and learned what they needed, then worked tirelessly to improve the roads and address irrigation problems. When competing for agricultural support funds, he stood out with a practical proposal grounded in thorough research, despite an opponent's malicious slander. When natural disasters struck during the project's implementation, he resolutely organized rescue efforts, revised the plans, and expanded sales channels, bringing significant growth to the township's agriculture.

Afterward, Gao was transferred to the county government office in recognition of his outstanding performance. Amid complicated relationships and a heavy workload, he relied on his abilities and intelligence to meet each challenge, gradually becoming a county leader
