There’s no Chu-Han Contention.
There’s only my family calling all the shots. War, salt shortages, and plague.
Other people transmigrate and take off with cheat powers. I end up in the late Qin dynasty,
in a salt dealer’s illegal salt works in Pei County.
I casually monopolize the black-market salt trade in this chaotic era.
The common folk fight tooth and nail over salt!
I exclaim, “It’s just a handful of salt. Is it really that big a deal?”
A local groans, “The sea-salt routes are cut off, and official salt costs a fortune. We’ve been without salt for months!” Just then, Liu Bang comes to borrow salt.
I slap the table. “So you’re the head of Sishui Pavilion? You can borrow salt, but you’re joining my crew!”
And so this young master embarks on a bizarre journey to turn his fortunes around!
First, he scoops up Xiao He’s scattered troops and picks up Han Xin along the way,
making a spectacular entrance that leaves everyone stunned.
When the army runs out of food, he sends Liu Bang out to borrow some with his shameless charm.
One bottle of Moutai “brings” Fan Kuai over from his hometown in Pei County.
And thus begins their gang life:
Han Xin trains the troops, Xiao He handles the accounts, Liu Bang works the social scene, and Fan Kuai serves as security.
At the Feast at Hongmen, he turns Xiang Bo against Xiang Yu and makes a clever escape. When he gets lost, he also happens to snatch Consort Yu.
He uses an ingenious “pie in the sky” pitch to borrow grain and win over Zhang Liang. Soldiers and generals alike flock to his banner with money and supplies.
He dresses up as a ghost to throw a party and scare the Chu army, then sows discord to throw the enemy ranks into disarray.
With laughs, curses, and a head full of harebrained schemes, he turns the tables, becomes king, and rewrites the fate of Chu and Han.
“Though Chu has but three households, Chu will destroy Qin”? No, no, no~
It's the same as the one next door where Liu Bang backstabbed and teamed up with Han Xin to cause trouble. The writing is very good. It's one of the better ones I've read in the Chu-Han period. There are beauties and competition for hegemony. It's not too brainless. This book has the feeling of gathering all the talented people in the world for one's own use.
It's okay, I just feel that Liu Bang shouldn't have such abilities, but the author has tried his best to let us understand Liu Bang, this great emperor. The details and people's feelings were all controlled just right. At least I didn't find any faults.
It's very interesting to watch. The main character has brains and the author also gives us popular science knowledge in the comments. It's very interesting. Here I Come Again is a great book. But the author released a second season
